1. Soak the luffa in water for a few minutes or moisten it to soften the fibers.
  2. Exfoliate your skin with or without soap.
  3. Make circular movements, applying gentle pressure to the area of the skin where you want to perform exfoliation.
  4. After use, rinse the luffa thoroughly under water and squeeze out excess moisture.
  5. Let it dry in a well-ventilated place.
  6. After exfoliating, whether for the body or face, continue with your skincare routine by toning and hydrating your skin.

The lifespan depends on the frequency of use, but the average durability is around 4-6 months.

If the luffa, discs, or scrubbers maintain their vegetable fiber in good condition, in terms of texture and color, you can continue using them regularly.

When the fiber starts to break easily and shows changes in its smell and color, it's time to replace it with a new one.

  • Rinse the vegetable fiber well after each use, squeeze out the excess water, and let it dry in a well-ventilated place.
  • To keep your luffa clean and free from bacteria, it's recommended to give it a deeper cleaning every 15-20 days. Boil it on low heat with water and a few drops of cleaning vinegar for a few seconds.
  • Store it in a cool, dry place, away from moisture, to prevent mold from developing on the fibers.

Unlike conventional synthetic sponges, the fibers that make up these luffa sponges are plant-based and fully compostable.

They can be disposed of in the organic waste bin or even in our own compost bin.

The luffa sponge is an excellent exfoliant, removing dead skin cells and leaving the skin soft and renewed.

It can be used for this purpose between one and two times a week. If your skin is very sensitive or irritated, avoid using it.

For facial use, we offer exfoliating discs specifically designed with the finest vegetable fibers.

Use them once a week. If your skin is very delicate, use them once every 15 days or opt for gentler exfoliants like oatmeal.

Suitable for all skin types.

In addition to its use in the bath, the luffa offers a natural, plastic-free alternative for cleaning dishes and household surfaces.

  • It cleans without scratching surfaces, so it can be used on pots and pans.
  • It removes dirt without leaving plastic residues on the surfaces.
  • By using vegetable scrubbers, we prevent plastic from being released into drains and, therefore, from contaminating the ecosystems around us.
